Alexis Cuadrado presents Silent Film Scores for Social Justice, album release shows for one of the most ambitious projects of his career as a composer and producer. Five years in the making, the work pairs newly composed music with century-old silent films addressing immigration, women's rights, poverty, inequality, and LGBTQ rights, issues still present in today's news cycle. The performances have become a personal and artistic turning point, deepening his commitment to social justice and reframing his compositions as agents of change. Over the past three years, Cuadrado has raised more than $3,000 for organizations including Make the Road New York, the Gender and Family Project, and Planned Parenthood, with plans to continue through future recordings and performances.

SPONSORSHIP
The Jazz Gallery is a not-for-profit arts organization presenting emerging artists who challenge convention, take creative risks, and lead their field as performers, composers and thinkers. We provide a platform for artists to discover their unique voice and a home for established musicians to continue to experiment and grow. At The Jazz Gallery, artists and audiences come together from around the world to explore new creative ideas, collaborate and celebrate jazz as a dynamic art form that reflects our ever-changing world.
