Declan Sheehy-Moss's "Bounce" is back for part II at The Jazz Gallery! Featuring some of NYC's most dynamic up-and-coming musicians, this show will be a combination of Album Release and new material, playing songs off the newly released record and some brand new compositions.

Declan Sheehy-Moss is a genre-bending saxophone player and composer born and raised in New York City. Declan blends jazz, pop, funk, and electronic music to produce a searing fusion of sound, using digital production and recording skills along with his instrumental and technical prowess to create a digital and acoustic mix, supported by analog synths, EWI, and the other quirky instruments assembled at his home studio in Brooklyn, NY.

He studied Jazz Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, working with Donny McCaslin, Antonio Sanchez, Dave Holland, Luciana Souza, Frank Carlberg, Dominique Eade, and more. In the wake of the pandemic, Declan moved back home and transferred to SUNY Purchase to study Studio Production.

Since 2017 Declan has written, produced, recorded, mixed, and released 8 singles and 2 EP’s, also working as a sideman for numerous other artists’ records and live shows such as Henry Threadgill, Cisco Swank, Talia Goddess, Reg Mason, Vibe World Order, Wally, and many more.

Declan has co-lead his own band, “More Better”, for about 8 years now, just releasing their sophomore album and first live album, “More Better Live at The Jazz Gallery”.

Declan and “More Better” have also performed at a number of renowned venues in New York such as BAM, The Jazz Gallery, The Knitting Factory, Nublu, Roulette, The Mercury Lounge, and many more.

Declan wears many hats, as he is currently the musical assistant for Henry Threadgill. Working on both the clerical and performative sides, Declan schedules rehearsals and books flights as well as audio engineering and triggered sounds and visuals as a part of Threadgill’s projects, “One” and “The Other One”, presented at Roulette Intermedium in May, 2022.
