The quartet’s repertoire reflects its risk-taking, improvisatory focus, whether it be a song by Geri Allen, Dewey Redman, or Paul Motion or one of Marks’ original compositions. The band is inspired by legendary quartets in jazz history, including the Branford Marsalis Quartet and Keith Jarrett’s American Quartet.
