THE JAZZ GALLERY CELEBRATED ITS 25th ANNIVERSARY IN 2020!
WE HAD MANY CELEBRATIONS PLANNED, AND COULD NOT PRESENT THEM ALL DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
HERE IS A TASTE OF WHAT WAS MEANT TO HAPPEN,
AND WHAT MAY HAPPEN AGAIN SOON!
THE JAZZ GALLERY ALL-STARS
We first presented The Jazz Gallery All-Stars at Symphony Space as part of the JVC Jazz Festival in 2010 as we celebrated our 15th Anniversary. The group at the time included Roy Hargrove, Ambrose Akinmusire, Miguel Zenon, Lage Lund, Gerald Clayton, Ben Williams, Kendrick Scott, Pedro Martinez, and Claudia Acuna.
We brought back the group with a younger generations for the 2020 edition. The group had a massively successful debut concert at the 2020 Winter Jazz Festival this January and have continued to tour and spread the word about The Jazz Gallery in the United States and throughout the world. Stay tuned for more!
2022 Update: Already touring on behalf on The Jazz Gallery, we are planning a national tour as well as concerts in Japan and China. We are very excited and proud to send these ambassadors for The Jazz Gallery beyond NYC to let the world know what we do and how we do it!
2020 KICKOFF!
The Jazz Gallery kicked off its 25th Anniversary celebrations on January 13th, 2020 with the announcement of our Residency Commission artists for 2019-2020 and a concert by last year’s artists - Camila Meza, Shai Maestro & Kassa Overall.
