Kevin Laskey -drums & electronics
Molly Netter -voice
Mikael Darmanie -piano
Eleonore Oppenheim -bass
In this genre-bending song cycle, composer/drummer Kevin Laskey looks to nature to understand his psyche, finding his anxieties thrown back at him. Featuring soprano Molly Netter, pianist Mikael Darmanie, and bassist Eleonore Oppenheim, the cycle pairs deconstructed renditions of English Baroque songs with original settings of poems by Jill Osier. By turns humorous, surreal, and emotionally raw, The Snow, Like Me explores the vulnerabilities in ourselves and in our world.
