After thirty years as a very active member of the New York City music scene, composing and performing from big bands, to orchestras, and his own tango quartet, Pedro Giraudo has finally arrived at a place where he can bring all his loves for music together in one compact ensemble: the Giraudo Sinfonietta. The ensemble will present Pedro's compositions, which draw on jazz, tango, and classical music, sprinkled with the nuances of other kinds of music he has been exposed to in New York, including Afro-Cuban and Afro-Peruvian, among many others. The Sinfonietta features the very best musicians in New York City, coming from the classical side, the jazz side, and everywhere in between.
