The Jazz Gallery: A Retrospective (1995-2025)

As part of our 30th Anniversary celebration, The Jazz Gallery invites you to take a look through our extensive collection of photos, recordings, and memorabilia.

The Jazz Gallery started as a rehearsal space for the late great trumpeter Roy Hargrove. Dale Fitzgerald, the founder of TJG, had a vision to present Jazz as a perspective in multi-faceted settings. Over the years, the space came to be known as an incubator and a community hub where artists can connect and exchange ideas.

Now, 30 years later, The Jazz Gallery resides at 1158 Broadway and remains the heart of jazz talent, innovation, and community for many. From the International Jazz Art Competition in 1995 to our Mentoring Series, which has eleven installments (and counting!), The Jazz Gallery has a rich history, and we invite you to explore!

In an effort to preserve this important history, we are working to digitize and archive all of our photos, recordings, and records. For more information on this project and how you can contribute, please click here.

Thank you for thirty years of The Jazz Gallery,
Where the Future is Present!

Free Event; No tickets needed.

SPONSORSHIP

The Jazz Gallery is a not-for-profit arts organization presenting emerging artists who challenge convention, take creative risks, and lead their field as performers, composers and thinkers. We provide a platform for artists to discover their unique voice and a home for established musicians to continue to experiment and grow. At The Jazz Gallery, artists and audiences come together from around the world to explore new creative ideas, collaborate and celebrate jazz as a dynamic art form that reflects our ever-changing world.

We rely on the generosity of our members and community to keep the music playing, thank you for your continued and much appreciated support! If you would like to sponsor a Livestream Concert, please use the links above or be in touch with our Executive Director, Janet Luhrs, here.
