LIVESTREAM FRIDAY

Join The Jazz Gallery for two very special concerts to close out 2022. We are happy to celebrate yet another year of great music, our 27th!, with you all and as we look forward to 2023 are excited to end things on a high with TJG All-Stars. We hope you will join us!

Since its founding in 1995 by Roy Hargrove, Dale Fitzgerald, and Lezlie Harrison, New York City’s The Jazz Gallery has been a key institution in the city’s jazz and creative music scene. Known as “the most imaginatively booked jazz club in New York” (New York Times), the Gallery has welcomed and nurtured several generations of musicians from around the world, including many who have gone on to critical acclaim as Grammy Award® nominees and winners, MacArthur Fellows, Thelonious Monk Competition winners and finalists, Critics’ Poll-winners, and headliners at major international festivals.

The Jazz Gallery celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2020 with a special ensemble featuring many of the leading creative voices in jazz—all of whom cut their teeth on The Jazz Gallery stage.

The Jazz Gallery introduced the All-Stars at the JVC Jazz Festival in 2010 for its 15th Anniversary. The group consisted of some of the finest young musicians, bandleaders and composers with serious connections to The Jazz Gallery, including founding member, trumpeter Roy Hargrove and MacArthur Fellow Miguel Zenon. On the 25th anniversary of the venue, The Jazz Gallery All-Stars made a triumphant return. Their first concert in January at the 2020 Winter Jazz Festival was a massive success. While their concerts were all but been cancelled for 2020, The Jazz Gallery All-Stars continue to perform, propelling the vision and mission of The Jazz Gallery to the whole world.

“The Jazz Gallery is the foremost venue in New York City to launch the careers of exceptional young jazz artists since it was founded in Roy Hargrove’s loft in 1995,” - Hank O’Neal, The Jazz Gallery Chairman of the Board

SPONSORSHIP

The Jazz Gallery is a not-for-profit arts organization presenting emerging artists who challenge convention, take creative risks, and lead their field as performers, composers and thinkers. We provide a platform for artists to discover their unique voice and a home for established musicians to continue to experiment and grow. At The Jazz Gallery, artists and audiences come together from around the world to explore new creative ideas, collaborate and celebrate jazz as a dynamic art form that reflects our ever-changing world.
