CAROLINE DAVIS
Alive with nurturing visions of simple sonic offerings to morph our present situation, Caroline Davis’ main reason for playing music is to connect with others, beckoning new vistas among curious listeners. She has won Downbeat’s Critic’s Poll Rising Star Alto-Saxophonist (2018) and has been included in numerous Reader and Critics Polls.

Today, Caroline’s music covers a wide range of styles, owed to this shifting environment. As a leader, she has released nine albums: Live Work & Play (2012), Doors: Chicago Storylines (2015), Heart Tonic (2018), Alula (2019), Anthems (2019), Portals, Vol. 1: Mourning (2021), Alula: Captivity (2023), Portals, Vol.2: Returning (2024), and Fallows (2026). Her work has garnered much praise from NPR, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Wire, DownBeat, and many international publications.

ALFREDO COLÓN
Dominican-American saxophonist and composer Alfredo Colon is a proud New York City native. His playing has been described as authoritative and fiery yet mournful and melodic. Drawing on his interest in Dominican folklore and the works of visionary saxophonists Albert Ayler and Ornette Coleman, Colon creates a musical atmosphere that highlights beauty by framing it in disarray.

Alfredo Colon has worked with artists such as Henry Threadgill, Moses Sumney, William Parker, Amirtha Kidambi, Cafuné, Hamid Drake, Cautious Clay, Toninho Horta, Dawn Richard, and Aaron Parks. In 2020, Colon was awarded the Jazz Coalition Commission Fund Grant. He was awarded Roulette Intermedium’s Van Lier Fellowship in 2022 and was a Roulette Resident Artist in 2023.
