MacArthur Award-winning saxophonist Miguel Zenon and acclaimed pianist Dan Tepfer celebrate the release of first duo album, “Internal Melodies” (Main Door Music). Built around a core of four intricate never-before-recorded compositions by Zenon, the album also includes new compositions by Tepfer written specifically for the duo, as well as explorations of the music of Hungarian composer György Ligeti and a nod to Tepfer's longtime collaborator — and major influence on Zenon — Lee Konitz.
