At the very inception of FONT Music, Dave Douglas teamed up with FONT co-founder Roy Campbell, Jr. and fellow trumpeter Baikida Carroll to create a group called Alloy. It was at one of these gigs, at Tonic on the lower east side, that Roy and Dave first discussed programming a month of new trumpet music. For this special event, Alloy returns with a brilliant addition of two great young trumpeters, Alexandra Ridout and David Adewumi. This event recreates the original instrumentation of Alloy, with all new music and improvisations by its members.
