Americana was formed by the confluence of folk, country, blues, rhythm and blues, gospel and bluegrass. It is fundamentally inclusive of all the varied roots of American music and culture. It is that ethos of openness and egalitarianism that has drawn Swiss-American harmonica player Gregoire Maret, and french pianist Romain Collin, to migrate to the United States in the first place. They are now paying tribute to this vision of America in their new album, titled Americana.
