Kalia Vandever is a trombonist and composer living in Brooklyn, NY. She released her debut album, "In Bloom" in 2019 which has been described as "the rise of an exciting voice for the music" (Seton Hawkins, Hot House Jazz Magazine) and will be celebrating the release of her sophomore album, “Regrowth”, out on New Amsterdam Records on May 6th.
“Regrowth” marks a period of renewal and discovery while constantly rebuilding and remaining open to the unpredictable. The act of being patient with myself when faced with change is a constant practice, and Regrowth is a reflection of that process.
