Run, Run, Run is an original short story and musical score written by Tomoko Omura in response to the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The story follows Lila, an almost-13-year-old girl racing through the streets of a devastated New York after a nuclear attack, searching for her family — and the music traces her journey from shock and grief to a fragile, determined hope.
This show celebrates the release of Omura’s new album, Run, Run, Run, out November 14, 2025 on Outside in Music. The project will be performed with Omura’s Roots Quintet .
Run, Run, Run was made possible by Chamber Music America's Artistic Projects grant.
