Tyler Bullock II is one of the most dynamic up-and-coming pianists on New York City’s jazz scene. Tyler draws inspiration from the lineage of jazz piano, as well as Motown, Black Gospel Music, and Western Classical Music, to fuel his imagination and craft his own original musical voice. In his compositions, Tyler designs musical landscapes that allow himself and his bandmates to embark on an adventure, exploring the endless possibilities for human expression that emerge from a group of musicians improvising together.
Since moving from his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, in 2021, Tyler has performed with Curtis Lundy, The Roy Hargrove Big Band, Eddie Allen, Bruce Williams, Duane Eubanks, Ulysses Owens Jr., and Joe Farnsworth.
Joining Tyler at The Jazz Gallery will be Stacy Dillard on tenor and soprano saxophones, Miguel Russell on drums, and Jonathon Muir-Cotton on bass.
